Peggy Sweeney-McDonald is the creator and author of Meanwhile, Back at Café Du Monde… Life Stories About Food, both a celebrated live show and a book published by Pelican Publishing.
She is the host of the Life in the A-Zone podcast, where she shares her bittersweet journey with her mother’s Alzheimer’s and conversations with friends and family who have walked the caregiving path. The podcast has reached listeners in over 30 countries.
Her upcoming memoir, Life in the A-Zone, will be published by The Lisburn Press in November 2025. She is also the creator of Pink Cloud Moments™: A Sacred Space Journal for Caregivers and the new guided journal, Pink Cloud Moments™: Divine Angelic Inspirations.
A lifelong actress in theatre, film, and television, Peggy’s recent roles include Amanda in The Glass Menagerie (Best Featured Actress in a Play award) and Della in The Cake, both at Theatre Baton Rouge.
A Baton Rouge native, her work is filled with Southern charm, creative spirit, and deep storytelling. She lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with her husband Jimmy and her 90-year old Dad across town from her sisters and their growing families.
